Here's "Lea" again--right above a Thai restaurant and then our Medina
Coogee hotel, the day before we flew to the other, top end of the country.
We ate at two different Thai restaurants in Coogee this week, and this one
wasn't one of them. We also ate at a great Turkish place. Along with
how tropical Australia is, another striking fact about it is just how
multicultural it is, especially with a great many Asian and Asian-Australian
folks, surely representing a significantly higher percentage of the population
than in the United States. Makes sense: Australia is a lot closer to
Asian countries (Papua New Guinea is immediately north of it). So there's
great food everywhere; Coogee was a real cornucopia.
