"The Yellow Waters cruise was great--certainly an excellent choice as the focus of our visit to Kakadu, which otherwise baked away, Arizona-style, not at all like the wet subtropical wonderworld that we'd imagined before making this whole trip--because we naively looked at too many wet-season photos in books and on the Web," and were thus ignorant of what dry-season Kakadu is like.  Yet the dry season is the time to come here; in the wet season it's raining all the time, super-humid, and jam-packed with mosquitoes.
