The First Freewriting Folder

Reminder: You may substitute writing about a public speech event (such as Six O'Clock Series, for example) for one reading per folder. You may substitute writing about one Fine Arts event for one reading per folder, also.  I will want to approve your choice of events ahead of time, so please discuss your plans with me before writing a response.

Remember that all of your work up to and including Oct. 2 will go into the First Freewriting Folder that you are turning in on Oct. 5th. When you turn in this folder, you should print out all work (this includes all freewriting, all summaries/commentaries, and the revised essay, including stages of drafts of that essay) that you have done so far this semester, put your name on each page, and staple or paper clip--if the stack is too fat for a staple--all pages together. You do not have reprint work I have already read, but you must turn in those copies I read, along with the review sheets I gave you in response to that work. Freewriting should be dated so that I know what work was done on what date. Please plan ahead with your printing so that you have your work ready to be turned in at the beginning of class. Anything that comes in after the beginning of class will be late and may lose 20 points per day that it is late, depending upon circumstances (I'm referring here to problems due to the flu!).
