Qualitative Research Methods

Course Description

ENGL 715 Qualitative Research Methods in Rhetoric and Linguistics3 cr.

Involves both reading about and training in qualitative research methods such as participant observation, interviewing, coding, and analysis. Also covers dissemination of research findings.

Prerequisites: ENGL 710 and ENGL 730 or ENGL 740.

* This is the best overview text and a good one to begin with if you want to start reading before the course begins.  If you have more time, go onto Heath's book.
