In addition to his role as director of Graduate Studies in Composition and
TESOL at IUP, Ben Rafoth teaches graduate courses in the Composition and TESOL program, including Qualitative Research Methods, Theories of Literacy, Theories of Composition, and Teaching Writing. Ben also serves on the board
of the International Writing Centers Association (IWCA). In October 2003, he chaired the joint meeting of the IWCA and the NCPTW in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Ben has published books and articles on composition and is a regular presenter at CCCC. His
most recent book is A Tutor's Guide: Helping Writers One to One,
2nd ed., which was published by Heinemann Boynton/Cook.
